GIVITA is deeply rooted in history and art, but at the same time we aim to bring modernity to our products. The project was born out of the meeting of four people with a passion for genuine beauty in life. Our aim is to revive the connection of such beauty with history and the land, but also with two elements, leather and wine, that have marked different styles and periods. Wine and leather have always been connected, as leather flasks and wineskins suggest.

GIVITA offers a whole range of unique and valuable products, like they used to be made in the past. The pleasure of [owning] an object that you can rediscover over time, with an unaltered desire to watch it, touch it, taste it. A leather bag, a bottle of wine become more charming and tastier as they age. Our products are concrete, essential, long-lasting, but never unnecessary.

GIVITA tells the story of arts and craft by repositioning them in the present times. Our “way of life” is a life evolution. With our creations we aim to convey tastes, smells, images, sounds, materials that tell of a new way of life, of lived experiences and discoveries. The mission of GIVITA is to combine the culture, tradition, and craftsmanship of leather and wine in a unique blend that represents our lifestyle.

Craftsmanship and Toscanità

Leather and wine represent Tuscany, a land whose history is closely connected to these ancient arts. Leather was already crafted, and the vitis vinifera already planted, at the times of the Etruscans. Quality and sustainability are a must for GIVITA, and they are inherently connected with tradition and craftsmanship. This is an invaluable heritage of our country that needs to be sustained and handed down. At the same time, craftsmanship needs to be grounded in the history of a place and refined over the centuries so as to attain excellence. We want to convey these values in our products.

Leather and wine have such an ancient history that it often coincides with the history of humankind. In the prehistoric age, men would cover their bodies with the skin of the animals they had hunted, while women were in charge of the firewood. Similarly, the earliest records are found in the prehistorical period. The earliest example of vinification dates back to 4,100 BCE Armenia.
